CSI Design Expo Europe – Delivering Insights and Inspiration

In partnership with NEWH, Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe has released its full schedule of content. Taking place on 29 – 30 November at London ExCeL, design leaders from Europe’s most esteemed cruise lines and design firms will be sharing their knowledge, insights, and experience through a series of CPD-certified panel talks and discussions.

The programme, curated around today’s ocean, river, and expedition cruise market, delivers a comprehensive range of topics and case studies covering concepts and inspiration behind beautiful designs, the dark art of project management, storytelling through design and brand identity, the future of marine interior design, and designing for adventure.

The prestigious speaker line-up includes Gianluca Gugliotta, Director, Vessel Refurbishment - Norwegian Cruise Line, Aida Lora, Senior Design Associate - Royal Caribbean Group, Bob McGowan, Head of Operations - Ambassador Cruise Line, Sandra Correia da Silva, Architect - Mystic Cruises, Alexander W. This year, the Conference & Workshop Programme is CPD-certified allowing professionals across discipline to further their learning activities and gain developmental hours from attending each accredited session.

The boutique event will also be debuting a new content format with keynotes and workshop sessions taking place predominantly on the second day and held on beautifully designed exhibitor stands around the show floor. This dynamic programme facilitates a seamless day of inspiration and development.

Stand-out sessions include the opening keynote and the only session to take place on the first day, ‘Inspiration for beautiful design: Case studies in materials & spaces’. Delivered by leading interior designers, attendees will be guided through a showcase of unique and inspiring projects across newbuild and refurbishment portfolios.

Those looking to gain insight into the changing shape of expedition cruising should attend ‘Designing for adventure: Spotlight on expedition cruise interiors’. In this session industry experts dive into the impact the sector’s growth has had on designing for functionality, whilst still giving guests an authentic and luxurious experience.

Alongside these curated panel discussions, CSI Design Expo Europe offers visitors additional learning opportunities at the Meet the Brand Q&As and Project Management Lunch. These focused sessions give attendees the chance to get to know the design and procurement professionals within the industry and learn how to navigate a successful project from concept to delivery.

Registration opens for Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, returning to ExCeL London 29 – 30 November 2023. Designers, suppliers, and decision-makers from cruise lines and shipyards will take to London to hear the industry’s latest trends and challenges, update their portfolios and samples, and grow their network at this specialised exhibition and conference.

Attendees can look forward to a display of high-quality innovations and expertise from the European cruise interior industry’s leading design firms, outfitters, and suppliers at CSIE. Buyers can also expand their supplier order book with the Speed Networking program. With two sessions running per day, CSIE will match industry suppliers with relevant buyers from cruise lines, design studios, and shipyards.

Notable industry players RODA, Cristallux, De Wave Group, and more will be joined by 60 CSIE newcomers including Gruppo Mastrotto, a dynamic fabric and tanning supplier whose clients span automotive, marine, and aviation industries. Also new to CSIE is Marino Projects, an established contractor within the European cruise market boasting over 450 completed ship finishing and outfitting projects across 21 countries.

To commemorate the end of a successful year for the European cruise community, the CSI Awards will wrap up day two of Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe. These coveted awards will celebrate the industry’s biggest achievements over the last year.
