Substantiating Statement

The Advertising Standards Authority define the leading business as the largest in its sector. SBID has compared its paid membership of interior designer members with that of two alternative organisations who sell interior design membership;

  1. The Chartered Society of Designers established 1976 represents Design across eleven sectors inlcuding jewellery design, graphic design and fashion design.
  2. The British Institute of Interior Design established 2009 (aka British Interior Design Association 1998, aka The British Interior Designers and Decorators Association 1965).

Based on the advertised members of these organisations, SBID confirms it has the largest number of (paid) members.
