Shoreditch Design Week: London Design Festival’s Largest District Announces Headliners 11th August 2026 | IN DESIGN EVENTS | BY SBID

Shoreditch Design Week (SDW), London Design Festival’s largest dedicated district is taking place 15–20 September 2026 with four main exhibition venues running the first three days (15th – 17th September) providing platforms to emerging designers, new materials, neurodivergent design and the latest interior innovations internationally.

Evolving from the long-established Shoreditch Design Triangle, SDW marks a new chapter for the district with an ambitious and wide-ranging programme. SDW will unite leading brands and studios alongside emerging designers across more than 60 showrooms, galleries and creative spaces. Through a programme of curated exhibitions, installations, showroom activations, talks, tours and workshops, the district will host hundreds of events throughout the week, anchored by four major exhibition venues during the first three days.

Exhibition programme (15-17 September 2026)

At the heart of SDW are four curated exhibitions, each set within a distinct venue and offering a different lens on contemporary design, from product innovation and emerging talent to material intelligence and the future of the workplace.

House of ICON and Design at Work return following their successful debuts last year. They are joined in 2026 by Material Matters, the UK’s leading materials exhibition, whose move into the district significantly strengthens Shoreditch’s credentials as a destination for specification and innovation.

Material Matters: born as a critically acclaimed podcast, now a leading international platform for material intelligence across architecture and design. For 2026, it relocates to Shoreditch, taking place at Unlocked
House of ICON: showcasing interior design in all its forms spanning residential and hospitality projects, from Nordic minimalism to bold maximalism. Returning with a bigger space this year is Isola, the first all-in-one curated digital platform offering visibility to emerging designers, design studios, and independent designers around the world, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
Design at Work: curated by OnOffice, exploring how design shapes wellbeing, efficiency and comfort at work. The 2026 edition introduces Neuroplaces, the UK’s first B2B exhibition and conference dedicated to neuroinclusive and accessible design solutions, co-located at Protein Studios.
ND Selects: a curated showcase by the UK’s top design graduate platform New Designers presents products newly entering the market from young and emerging businesses (aged 1–5 years). Design Burger: The Product Design 100 – this new book and accompanying exhibition presents 100 of the most compelling industrial design projects from the past decade. Positioned with ND Selects, this installation offers a clear snapshot of product design today, spanning consumer tech, furniture, lighting, mobility and related disciplines.
