Set to be the biggest to date, the one-day event will feature a new series of business seminars, new manufacturers and a new home – Grosvenor House, Park Lane in London. The event provides a dynamic and lucrative business environment carefully tailored to create, encourage and facilitate synergies that build key relationships. It also provides a chance to meet the industry’s most celebrated experts and international designers who have travelled from around the world for the announcement of the SBID International Design Awards winners.
Complete with networking opportunities, face to face contact with decision makers and a series of business seminars and talks from industry experts, the event compliments the already esteemed SBID Awards programme, making the three days of SBID events the ultimate design excellence package.

This year will feature a talk about what makes a Superbrand, as well as a revealing panel discussion about the industry’s ‘dirty little secrets’.
The SBID Meet the Buyer event was a surprisingly exceptional experience for me as a first time attendee. The event showcased a great mix of A&D products and services that encompassed a wide range of budgets and applications from corporate to hospitality to residential. As I tend to not see silos in these areas of design thinking, I look for cross application opportunities in our specifications with my design teams whenever possible and appropriate, to help target our solutions and ultimately our projects success. I found 20:20 to also be an extremely beneficial immersion experience that quickly exposes the designer to a multitude of some of the latest in products and inspiration out there in just one day. These opportunities keep all of us learning which is important regardless of our positions and level of experience in the industry. I look forward to this event expanding both in participating companies and with that, design practitioners in the coming years.
SBID host the most important design events in the creative industry calendar. They have established a global network of design professionals across a broad range of sectors which culminate in specialised design events to forge longstanding business partnerships, which John Lewis for Business are honoured and proud to be partnered with.
