Wakefields of London invites interior designers and architects to learn about the planning principles behind beautiful, high-performance screening spaces!

You will explore how to design residential cinema rooms that feel beautiful, comfortable and immersive — while avoiding the common mistakes that can compromise the interior. Cinema rooms are one of the most desirable features in high-end residential design — but they are also one of the easiest spaces to get wrong.

From screen size and seating position to acoustics, lighting, ventilation, speaker placement and finishes, every decision affects how the room looks, feels and performs. This SBID-Accredited CPD will help you understand what to look out for, what questions to ask and how to protect the design intent while delivering a genuinely immersive experience.

What you’ll learn:
– How room proportions affect comfort, sightlines and immersion
– Where interiors and performance can clash
– Why acoustics can change the finished room
– How to avoid common design compromises
– How to protect the design intent

Session Options:

– Tuesday 16 June 2026, 9:30 am or 11 am or 2 pm
– Wednesday 17 June 2026, 9:30 am or 11 am or 2 pm
– Thursday 18 June 2026, 9:30 am or 11 am or 2 pm

Each session is 1 hour long.
