Now in its third year, SBID’s competition for first and second year design students offers the chance to win a 3 month internship in one of three leading Interior Design studios.
About the Competition:
The Get me 2 the Top student competition was developed to find innovative and talented first and second year students, offering them the opportunity to develop key relationships and give them the tools and advice they need to kick-start their careers whilst studying.
The competition is open to first and second year undergraduate students who are currently studying an architecture, interior design, interior architecture, product design or related design course at degree level within the UK.
This year, Design Practice’s 1.61 London, Crawford Partnerships and a third to be confirmed are each offering a 3 month internship at their practice for the 3 category winners. Students are asked to submit their entry by selecting their preferred interior design category; Residential Design, Public Space Design or Product Design and then design a project according to the category brief within the submission template provided.
Each task has been set by this year’s judges; Hospitality Designer, Hans Galutera, Healthcare Interior Designer, Diana Cellela and SBID founder and Interior Designer, Dr Vanessa Brady, OBE. The judges will be looking for qualities such as originality of expression, individualism, creative use of materials and presentation.
SBID will present the winners with a certificate along with their internship prize in June. Entries are now open and students have until 30 April to submit their entry.
