Shoreditch Design Week (SDW), London Design Festival’s largest dedicated district is taking place 15–20 September 2026 with four main exhibition venues running the first three days (15th – 17th September) providing platforms to emerging designers, new materials, neurodivergent design and the latest interior innovations internationally.

Evolving from the long-established Shoreditch Design Triangle, SDW marks a new chapter for the district with an ambitious and wide-ranging programme. SDW will unite leading brands and studios alongside emerging designers across more than 60 showrooms, galleries and creative spaces. Through a programme of curated exhibitions, installations, showroom activations, talks, tours and workshops, the district will host hundreds of events throughout the week, anchored by four major exhibition venues during the first three days.

Shoreditch Design Week

Once the historic centre of London’s furniture trade, Shoreditch is today an internationally recognised creative hub, home to architects, interior designers and design-led studios. The district continues to champion emerging talent, innovative ideas and contemporary products across hospitality, residential, retail and workplace sectors, reinforcing Shoreditch’s position as a leading destination for the UK design industry.

Shoreditch Design Week

Exhibition programme (15-17 September 2026)

At the heart of SDW are four curated exhibitions, each set within a distinct venue and offering a different lens on contemporary design, from product innovation and emerging talent to material intelligence and the future of the workplace.

House of ICON and Design at Work return following their successful debuts last year. They are joined in 2026 by Material Matters, the UK's leading materials exhibition, whose move into the district significantly strengthens Shoreditch's credentials as a destination for specification and innovation.

- Material Matters: born as a critically acclaimed podcast, now a leading international platform for material intelligence across architecture and design. For 2026, it relocates to Shoreditch, taking place at Unlocked
- House of ICON: showcasing interior design in all its forms spanning residential and hospitality projects, from Nordic minimalism to bold maximalism. Returning with a bigger space this year is Isola, the first all-in-one curated digital platform offering visibility to emerging designers, design studios, and independent designers around the world, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
- Design at Work: curated by OnOffice, exploring how design shapes wellbeing, efficiency and comfort at work. The 2026 edition introduces Neuroplaces, the UK’s first B2B exhibition and conference dedicated to neuroinclusive and accessible design solutions, co-located at Protein Studios.
- ND Selects: a curated showcase by the UK’s top design graduate platform New Designers presents products newly entering the market from young and emerging businesses (aged 1–5 years). Design Burger: The Product Design 100 – this new book and accompanying exhibition presents 100 of the most compelling industrial design projects from the past decade. Positioned with ND Selects, this installation offers a clear snapshot of product design today, spanning consumer tech, furniture, lighting, mobility and related disciplines.

Designer Collaborations: Immersive Luxury Experiences

A defining highlight of Decorex, are the designer collaborations which invite leading interior designers to transform key spaces within the show into immersive, concept-driven environments.

For 2026, Claudia Dorsch will design the exclusive VIP Lounge. Known for interiors shaped by restraint, materiality and architectural sensitivity, Dorsch’s concept reinterprets the chalet for a contemporary audience. Back to the Future - The Chalet Reimagined presents an evolving vision of alpine design, honouring the warmth and traditions of chalet living: timber, fire and craftsmanship, while drawing them into a contemporary register. Influenced by the understated decadence of 1970s Italian ski culture, the design creates a richly layered retreat designed to be lived in across the seasons.

Designed in collaboration with AEVEN, the Decorex 2026 Bar will be brought to life by co-founders Alex Dauley and Grant Pierrus, through the concept of ‘A Seat at the Table’, an immersive communal space exploring connection, craft and collective creativity. Anchored by one long, shared table and surrounded by an eclectic collection of individually sourced chairs from across the global design community, the installation will celebrate the many voices, perspectives and makers shaping the future of design.

Pulse in Motion

Maison&Objet sets the pace with “Pulse in Motion”! A unique burst of creative energy imagined with trend forecasting agency NellyRodi.

Pulse in Motion is a call. A call to move, to act, to reignite a collective momentum. In a fragmented era where reference points are shifting, this theme affirms the essential need for impulse, restoring the desire to move forward. Creating a shared, living, spontaneous dynamic. Turning energy into a driving force.

Pulse in Motion celebrates what brings people together: narratives that create connection, projects that foster unity, and designs that set things in motion. Here, design becomes a tool for cohesion, a catalyst for movement, and an instrument of positive, sensitive, and shared leadership. Innovation is never solitary, it is collective, embodied, and powered by a shared energy. A design that connects, mobilises, and moves us forward together.

Ana Milena Hernandez and Christophe Penasse, Co-Founders of Studio Masquespacio

Masquespacio: Ambassador of Maison&Objet Pulse and Paris Design Week

To explore the “Pulse in Motion” theme, the creative duo Masquespacio offers a vibrant, colour-rich vision of tomorrow’s design through two installations, both at the show and across the city. They also set the tone for the show’s overall identity by designing the key visual for the autumn edition.

Co-founders of Studio Masquespacio, established in 2010, and the furniture brand Mas Creations, the radiant creative duo from Valencia, Colombian Ana Milena Hernandez and Belgian Christophe Penasse, delight in challenging convention and embracing bold artistic freedom through a 360-degree approach to design. Zoom on their collaboration with Maison&Objet and Paris Design Week in September.

The theme of this edition, “Pulse in Motion”, evokes energy and movement. How does this translate into the space you are imagining for Maison&Objet?
CP: “Pulse in Motion” represents an energy that emerges from places, from dynamics, but above all from the people who bring them to life. In a world largely driven by technology, we believe space should reconnect with people emotionally and physically.

You also designed the poster for the September 2026 edition. What lies behind this new visual identity?
CP: This creation reflects who we are. It speaks about humanity through materiality. Our intention is to make people “feel” texture through the gaze.
AMH: We thought: “More.” More emotion, more colour, more of everything.
CP: The poster also says a lot about our vision of the future and our relationship to authenticity.
AMH: We want this image to be an invitation to contemplation, to slowing down and taking time.

Design District: A Living Laboratory of Contemporary Design

Maison&Objet marks the highly anticipated return of its Design District and once again entrusts Hall Haus with the creative direction of this singular environment.

Founded by Abdoulaye Niang, Sammy Bernoussi, Teddy Sanches, and Zakari Boukhari, the collective has quickly established itself as one of the most vibrant voices of the new French design scene. Their signature? A living form of design, at the crossroads of cultures, where contemporary aesthetics, sustainable commitment, and plural narratives converge.

For this new edition, they envision an immersive Design District. Step into a rich and inspiring journey through the new generation of lifestyle design, where colour, rhythm and immersive scenography shape a vibrant spatial experience.

At the heart of the Design District, a new generation and innovative materials take center stage with different programs such as Future on Stage, Rising Talent Awards South Africa, the (im)Pulse platforms and the Eco-materials Corner.

Cook & Share
Cook & Share

Cook & Share: Where Design meets the Future of Cuisine

At Cook & Share sector, beauty takes its place at the table. Tableware, cutlery, gourmet objects, cooking, and decoration enter into conversation, composing a delicate choreography reminiscent of a perfectly balanced food and wine pairing. Technique gives way to emotion, and the art of hosting becomes an art of sensation.

Sarah Espeute, ambassador of Cook & Share
For this year’s edition, contemporary embroiderer Sarah Espeute unveils an inspiring table installation draped in exclusive textile. At its center lies a bespoke piece, intimate, poetic, quietly luxurious, revealed within a scenography conceived as an invitation to gather, contemplate, and share.

"Why embroidered objects? Because of the madeleine de Proust dimension of this technique, which I like to reinvent as a contemporary poem. We all have a memory connected to an embroidered object."

What’s New? In Retail: Nouveau Souffle by Pauline Glaizal

"The theme Pulse in Motion influenced my vision for this edition of the fair. “Pulse” evokes rhythm, vibration and heartbeat, while “In Motion” speaks to collective momentum, action, and shared energy."

A What’s New? In Retail that embodies a living, sensory, and deeply narrative approach to retail.

Pauline Glaizal, the creative force behind this space, brings a sensitive and poetic vision, shaping a territory, a breath of fresh air at the heart of a rapidly evolving market.

Nouveau Souffle, her installation located in Hall 7, invites visitors on an immersive and sensory journey through a curated selection of vibrant pieces and emerging talents discovered directly within the show’s offer. A manifesto for a design “in motion” takes shape, expressed through practical curated sourcing selections designed to support coherent and inspiring sourcing.

Complete this vision with a dedicated Retail Coaching programme led by experts of the sector.

In Materia: Materials of Life by Elizabeth Leriche

Priestess of scenography and design storytelling, Elizabeth Leriche invites you, in September 2026, on a sensorial voyage across materials and their silent life, perceptible in their textures, their fractures, and their transformations. Hammered metal, wood marked by irregular grain, cracked ceramics, blown glass, each surface retains the memory of what it has endured. Within this dialogue with matter, the artisan’s gesture becomes essential: the hand shapes, inscribes, and sets a rhythm into motion.

Color participates in this movement as vibration, revealing the depths and metamorphoses of matter. Handcraft thus unfolds within an organic temporality, shaped by repetition, adjustment, and attentiveness, rooted in transmitted savoir-faire.

This logic unfolds through the circular scenography. Color acts as a sensitive thread, linking the works together and extending, throughout the space, the energy of continuous transformation.
