Launching 16-18 September as an official trade event during London Design Festival, Design London Shoreditch is set to establish a bold new presence at the heart of one of the city’s most vibrant design destinations. The inaugural edition promises to be a standout moment in the design calendar - a new creative landmark rooted in the spirit of East London.
Situated within the Shoreditch Design Triangle - now one of the largest and most visited districts of the festival - the show spans three key venues: Design at Work, Design Culture, and House of ICON. Each exhibition will host a curated mix of leading global brands and emerging designers, showcasing cutting-edge furniture, lighting, textiles, and materials across the hospitality, commercial and residential sectors.
The programme will not only spotlight product innovation, but will also explore how culture shapes design, with headline projects including the British Council’s “Ancient Futures” and a graduate showcase by the Royal College of Art. This is a show designed to inspire - one that celebrates creativity, commerce, and conversation in equal measure.
Design London Shoreditch unfolds across three distinct exhibitions, each offering a unique lens into today’s most exciting interior design thinking - from workplace wellbeing to cultural influence and timeless craftsmanship.

A major exhibition, showcasing the key objects developed by Zaha Hadid Design over the last 15 years, fills the Zaha Hadid Architects' designed space at Roca London Gallery. The sculptural spaces of the striking 1,100m2 gallery will become the site for an immersive installation of ZHD’s portfolio of pioneering designs, from fashion and jewellery, to home accessories and furniture, carpets and lighting.
First time UK exhibits include a new furniture range made in collaboration with Japanese high tech brand Karimoku and jewellery designed for Tateossian. Woody Yao and Maha Kutay, co-directors of ZHD, say: “What we have learned from Zaha — the integrity of her design process at any scale, the way she shared knowledge with the team, her bold curiosity toward new discoveries and her exhilarating creativity — are the foundations on which ZHD builds.“
They add, “We strongly believe in collaboration; we see it as a catalyst for inventiveness through the exchange of ideas, talent and expertise from every party involved in the design process.” The collaborative output is well represented in the exhibition, including furniture developed with David Gill Gallery; lighting for Slamp and Lasvit; shoes designed for United Nude and Lacoste; jewellery made for Bulgari and Tateossian; and crystal bowls and vases designed for Lalique.
The objects date back to the founding of the design practice in 2006 and are brought up to the present day with the installation of the 2022 collection of elegant wooden furniture made with Japanese brand Karimoku.
