Following on from TECH EDEN, which focused on the invigorating alliance between technology and nature, Maison&Objet and creative strategy consultancy Peclers Paris are continuing their optimistic, resilient, and stimulating exploration in September with a new theme: TERRA COSMOS.
“Where the vastness of space mingles with seemingly finite terrestrial territories... Where universal fantasies and earthly materiality collide... Where science and magic intertwine... New and lasting fictions are born, and are sure to have an impact on the real world.” Brune Ouakrat, Strategic Planner in charge of foresight at Peclers Paris.
TERRA COSMOS deciphers these new desires and the expectations of consumers in search of awe-inspiring experiences. This cosmic vision of the future remains firmly rooted in the reality of an exhibition that is resolutely focused on novelty, creativity, and innovation.

The prospect of space travel is now a real possibility, and the technological advances that have been projected in futuristic fiction herald profound changes in the way that we live our lives. Some 55 years after man first set foot on the moon, new scientific successes are rekindling our fascination and igniting our imagination focused on the cosmos, and synonymous with a promising future.
“In this new approach, it is no longer simply a matter of an extraterrestrial elsewhere. We are part of the cosmos, and this position implies responsibility, as well as resilient and virtuous creations and practices. It imposes a broader, more esoteric, magical vision in which we can imagine ourselves as tourists in zero gravity, choosing to claim the stars or seek beneficial connections with the elements” Brune Ouakrat, Strategic Planner in charge of foresight at Peclers Paris.
“Connection, immersion, virtuality, smart materials, 3D, AI*... A part of the fantasy is becoming reality and consumers are ready for immersive, sensory experiences, while new aesthetics are invading into their daily lives and enchanting them once more.” Brune Ouakrat, Strategic Planner in charge of foresight at Peclers Paris.
These materials may be brutalist or sophisticated, iridescent or transparent, evocative of both the mineral surface of the stars as well as celestial and stellar expanses. The novelty of TERRA COSMOS is crystallised in the intensity of the materials, reflecting the formal explorations of Objects of Common Interest designers and their experimental way of working with both metal and glass.
“The materials express a sensory futurism that dresses interiors in mineral ruggedness and invests them with constellations of satellite objects.
The random shapes, roundness, and ovality accentuate the cosmic aspect as much as they soften its contours. The luminaires produce vibrant halos, diffracting colours into shifting spectra and magical projections.” Charlotte Cazals, Designer and Trend Forecaster at Peclers Paris.
For a brand such as Lexon, new frontiers venture far beyond the bounds of technology. They include aspects such as sustainability, well-being, and diversity, where opportunities for innovation are numerous and crucial to meeting the challenges of today's world.
In the food services and hotel industries, TERRA COSMOS expresses itself in the vastest of terms. Between immersive discoveries and extreme experiences, it is no longer enough to simply mobilise the senses; they must be amplified and confounded through both technology and whimsical storytelling. The Danish chef Rasmus Munk, who defines himself as an "alchemist", is proud of this approach. His "holistic" menu is best enjoyed in the immersive setting of his Copenhagen restaurant, where he takes guests on a journey from the depths of the sea up to the northern lights.
To set foot in the El Cosmico hotel, in a deserted Texan landscape, is an experience on the border between the cosmic and the terrestrial. This luxury campsite will soon be equipped with 3D-printed dwellings so that, as promised, you can escape the pressures of everyday life, reconnect with your senses, and observe the celestial vault.
From the Acne Studios boutique to the Moncler pop-up store in Tokyo, the cosmic references in retail become even more accomplished where futuristic, uncluttered decors meet digital, connected shopping experiences. Avant-garde aesthetics are paving the way for a new form of consumerism.
The spaces look as if they have been plucked straight from the metaverse, inspired by architectural and virtual creations such as those by artist Hugo Fournier. Immaterial objects and environments are already coming to life in the spaces designed by Harry Nuriev, with Crosby Studios. Minerality is often complemented by chrome, transparency, and glass, offering versatility to clean, pure lines.
“Beyond its forward-looking vision, the TERRA COSMOS theme will also be embodied at the show. Visitors will be able to find it materialised in three practical aspects: product curation, events, and the visitor route, which will be guided by the TERRA COSMOS symbol.” explains Mélanie Leroy, the exhibition's Managing Director.
“Through the eyes of our curators, François Delclaux and Elizabeth Leriche, we are offering visitors an insight into the theme that is both palpable and wellhoned,” adds Mélanie Leroy. They were given carte blanche in their interpretation of TERRA COSMOS in order to create a sense of surprise and awe in the What's New? In Retail space and the What's New? In Decor space, with a wide range of products sourced from exhibitors and integrated into inspiring displays... The What's New? In Hospitality space will be assigned entirely by the next Designer of the Year.
The Well-Being Experience, What's New? In Hospitality, and The Talks: Maison&Objet strives to combine experiential foresight with usefulness. “To meet the challenges facing professionals, Maison&Objet relies on one of the levers that makes it unique – its large international community of recognised experts in the decoration and design industries – to share and lead exchanges that are as relevant as they are instructive”, points out Mélanie Leroy. The theme will therefore be evaluated, examined, and enriched at key moments of the exhibition through immersive scenography in each of the spaces, masterclasses with key opinion leaders, coaching tailored to each business, and round table discussions.
The TERRA COSMOS theme and its new codes will be used throughout the Maison&Objet ecosystem, from the selections on the Maison&Objet and More – or "MOM" – platform, to showrooms and certain Paris Design Week events such as the Design sur Cours exhibitions, where designers may display their designs in the courtyards of Paris.
"Our primary mission is to decipher and highlight the market trends that will drive the success of our customers in the future. In practical terms, this means highlighting new markets and growth markets, and curating brands and products, as well as colours, materials, motifs, and inspiration, through experiential and useful events. In short, it is essential to provide practical solutions to three key challenges: innovation, creativity, and eco-responsibility.
With TERRA COSMOS, we are bringing another angle to bear on the re-enchantment of everyday life through the cosmos, the earth, and even our relationship with the beyond. Product curation will underline sectors or sub-sectors that are currently buoyant and represent a growing market trend. This encompasses the entire universe of Well-Being, as well as those of magic and esotericism. Lithotherapy and astrology are real market trends." Mélanie Leroy, Managing Director of Maison&Objet.
In the 1960s, the Space Age movement found its inspiration through space exploration and nuclear imagery. Its heritage is still expressed at the exhibition through objects with organic shapes and pop colours. Fisura's lava lamps are perhaps the most meaningful example.
Founder of the eponymous Elizabeth Leriche Trend Consultancy and Curator of the What's New? In Decor space.
What is TERRA COSMOS? Only with our eyes on the stars and our feet firmly planted on the ground can we be in touch with the universe.
What images does this theme conjure up for you? The joy of dreaming before a starry sky, bathed in the glow of the moon or the radiance of the sun…
Looking to the future: what will the next What's New? In Decor look like? I wish to try to see things through the eyes of a child filled with wonder, to evoke dreams and emotions, to find poetry in the face of this futuristic, technological world. Sky vs. ground, weightlessness vs. roots, craft vs. cave, metal vs. earth, transparency vs. opacity, infinitely small vs. immensely large... I intend to play on these oppositions.
Founder of the Nouvel Air agency and Curator of the What's New? In Retail space.
What is the cosmos? The bearer of dreams and fantasies. The conquest of space is taking on the dimension of a "new frontier". This context also influences the lifestyle and design sectors and their quest for new adventures, but also new materials, surfaces, colours...
Which works do you think instantly represent the theme? First of all, those which play on raw minerality, in reference to lunar or Martian vistas. Pulpo often uses primary – if not "primitive" – materials, as if fallen from a meteorite, thus imposing the very shape of the object. The treatment of light is somewhat reminiscent of the magic circles used by Le Deun Luminaires. Fuoriluogo Design's creations are redolent of myriads of stars.
Looking to the future: what will the next What's New? In Retail look like? An invocation of three emblematic planets in our solar system!
Alexis Martial and Adrien Caillaudaud, Founders of Amca Oval.
We are intrinsically inspired by the Space Age, firstly through our passion for the future, but also through our obsession with oval, organic, and all encompassing shapes. The Space Age is above all a philosophy, a quest for innovation and a fantasised future. The idea is not to recapture the design of a bygone era, but to extract its essence and bring it to life in a contemporary way. All with new environmental objectives and new technologies. When it comes to fashion, it is first and foremost functional minimalism that links us to this creative movement.
As for design, it is more so about the retro-future concept. The result is a playful, forward-facing way of life.
Frédéric Boutin, Product Director at Lexon.
In a world where mental and physical health are increasingly valued, we are responding in kind by offering consumers a new range of "Care" products that combine design and technology to promote well-being.
Companies may also seek to push back the boundaries of inclusion and diversity, by ensuring that their products and teams reflect the richness of the times in which we live.

House of Rohl is delighted to once again be part of the interiors event of the Summer, WOW!house at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour from 4th June - 4th July. For its third installation, House of Rohl has collaborated with renowned architecture and interior design practice, Michaelis Boyd, to create a primary bathroom suite that offers a space for tranquillity, relaxation and luxury escapism.
The suite features the statement Taizu circular bath from Victoria + Albert, made for the first time in a subtle Matt finish, and presented with an on-trend Olive Green exterior. This is matched with Perrin & Rowe Georgian brassware in a beautiful Satin Brass finish from the House of Rohl portfolio. The design project was led by Christina Gregoriou, a Partner at Michaelis Boyd who saw the design as “An opportunity to reframe our traditional understanding of the bathroom, elevating it from a place for private time to a luxurious experience.”
Taking place from the 4th June – 4th July, WOW!house is built within the Design Avenue and is a one-of-a-kind showhouse stretching 500 sqm2 with 19 full-size rooms and outdoor spaces to be explored. Nigel Palmer, Head of Communications Marketing for House of Rohl said, “Now in its third year, WOW!house has become one of the pre-eminent interiors events in Europe. As one of the event’s initial sponsors, House of Rohl is delighted to be involved once again. Christina and her team at Michaelis Boyd have conceived a spectacular bathroom, full of flair and imagination, wholly original and meticulously planned. It is the perfect showcase for our Perrin & Rowe and Victoria + Albert brands, and has many clever ideas for visitors to take away.”
On specifying Victoria + Albert’s Taizu bath Christina said, “The Taizu bath was the perfect ‘protagonist’ in both style and scale. Once its location was decided the remaining design and layout unfolded from there”. Surrounding the bath within an uplit dome is an ethereal woodland mural by French artist Claire Basler. Claire was commissioned for her outstanding attention to detail and an ability to encapsulate serenity, with a sense of movement within her work.
The brassware is from Perrin & Rowe’s Georgian collection in Satin Brass. Christina comments, “We love the craftsmanship of Perrin & Rowe, from the hand-poured casting to the perfectionism of the final polishing. The Georgian collection gives the bathroom a root in tradition.”
The charming feature vanity unit was designed and built by Goldfinger. Finished with a Rainforest Green marble from Diespeker, it includes two Laceno 56 basins, new this year from Victoria + Albert. They are paired with Perrin & Rowe Georgian Wall Mounted Basin Mixer taps, once again in Satin Brass. The vanity unit is wrapped in a ruffled skirt made of ‘Old Hollywood, Flame’, a linen-blend material by de Le Cuona.
The bathroom was strategically designed to include transitional areas of separation with areas to bathe, wash and rest. To achieve this, the team created a chequerboard effect by using Encaustic and Zellige tiles from the Mosaic Factory in three sizes to create a visual and whimsical transition for the occupier to navigate the space. Within the more intimate areas of the bathroom, the Koyohen Border tiles in ‘Vintage Green’ from Raven were chosen for their sleek design. The flecks of amber compliment the warm tones of the timber and marble. The team strategically positioned the tiles vertically to extenuate the curvature of the shower area, powder room and drying area. To complement the natural colour palette, the woodwork including the skirting boards and door architraves are painted in ‘Invisible Green’ by Little Greene.
Offering a place to reflect and relax, a bespoke daybed, designed and built by Goldfinger, is upholstered by Lawson Wood in a linen fabric named ‘Douce Nightscape’ from LF Trading. Above, a show-stopping Diamond Olive Chandelier (Amber) from COX London is positioned above. Michaelis Boyd’s design ethos of ‘luxurious design should tread lightly on the planet’ influenced Christina’s decision to render the bathroom’s walls and dome with Clayworks; a clay plaster made of unique blends of unfired clays mixed with minerals and pigments to provide healthy, breathable internal finishes.
Diversity and sustainability are core themes to this year’s WOW!house. Perrin & Rowe’s two UK sites in Wolverhampton and Rainham in East London reflect their diverse communities, helped by local apprenticeships. Victoria + Albert’s South African factory provides skilled manufacturing jobs in an area where there are few. Like many responsible organisations, House of Rohl has a long-term programme to enhance the sustainability of its processes, but there has always been a focus on making products that last, avoiding the need for wasteful replacement. Perrin & Rowe, for example, stock spares for almost every tap they have ever made. Their Customer Services team in Rainham take pride in helping owners make old taps work like new.
At the inaugural WOW!house, the House of Rohl bathroom was conceived by 2LG Studio, who created a ‘Cave of Wonders’ that provided an alternate reality to escape to in a Covid-affected year. In 2023, Studio Mico deftly blended influences from many cultures, choosing natural materials and textures to create a bathroom that felt entirely original, yet resonated with every visitor to the space. This year, the ‘Maximalist Whimsy’ of Michaelis Boyd’s delightful design offers their own unique take on a luxury bathroom. Christina comments, “The bathroom has an intimate, tranquil feel and sanctuary aesthetic, making it a room where you feel at peace and want to spend time.”
About Perrin & Rowe
The World's finest range of bathroom and kitchen fittings. Perrin & Rowe is a British-based brassware and sanitaryware manufacturer with an unrivaled reputation internationally – bringing together traditional craftsmanship and manufacturing methods with precision engineering. Perrin & Rowe is a distinctive member of the House of Rohl.
GROHE, a leading global brand for complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, unveils its strategic roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year. A cornerstone of GROHE’s strategy going forward is its heightened involvement in shaping and co-creating the future of the sanitary industry. Through active participation in key industry events such as ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC and water, in March 2025 and membership in influential organisations like VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association Germany), GROHE is poised to foster collaboration and drive collective progress within the sector, especially amid ongoing economic challenges.
As Bijoy Mohan, Leader, LIXIL International affirms, “Our roadmap for the upcoming fiscal year reflects our unwavering commitment to our consumers and customers, product leadership, and organisational excellence. A first highlight was our recent presence at Milan Design Week where we showcased the pinnacle of our portfolio with GROHE SPA.
Through product innovations and collaborations with key industry partners, we are confident in our ability to drive sustainable growth, delivering value to our customers and stakeholders alike, empowering them to thrive in a dynamic market environment. In the face of challenging global market conditions, our international business, especially in Europe, experienced a notable slowdown in demand throughout the year. To address these unprecedented challenges head-on, we have implemented strategic measures for the GROHE brand and the European market. We are confident that these proactive initiatives will not only mitigate the impact of adverse market conditions but also enhance our profitability throughout the fiscal year ending March 2025.”
For the last fiscal year 2024 (April 1st 2023 – March 31st, 2024), the LIXIL EMEA region has experienced a sales drop by 17% on a local currency basis. Enabling an even more tailored approach in customer engagement and sales growth for its GROHE brand, LIXIL has introduced a new regional set-up, designed to better cater to diverse market requirements and conditions.
Since April 1st 2024, the EMENA region was split in two: Europe and IMEA, comprising India & Subcontinent, the Middle East, including Turkey, and the entire African continent. This strategic realignment will enable the organisation to deploy more custom-fit strategies and tactics, ensuring enhanced support for customers across Europe, IMEA, and beyond. Additionally, the new set-up will facilitate expansion opportunities in the IMEA region for its portfolio beyond the GROHE brand, signalling LIXIL’s broader ambitions for growth and market penetration.
Emphasising its commitment to innovation, GROHE will launch the GROHE Rapido Shower Frame in July 2024, a testament to its behind-the-wall expertise. Designed to simplify installation of concealed shower systems and enhance productivity for professionals, the solution is a direct answer to the daily challenges faced by installers due to lack of skilled workers and full order books. Preassembled and insulated components such as mixed water pipes and concealed elements as well as a leak test performed before delivery allow installation in just three steps, saving valuable time and training expenditures for new installers.
In front of the wall, GROHE’s shower competence is highlighted by solutions tailored to current market trends. The new GROHE Tempesta hand shower, recognised with the Red Dot and iF Design Award, brings enhanced customisation by offering freedom of choice when it comes to design, from round or square options to chrome or Matte Black. The innovative SmartSwitch function allowing for intuitive switching between spray patterns, enables a further personalised experience. Additionally, variants equipped with EcoJoy technology support sustainable living by reducing water consumption without compromising comfort. Product durability is ensured by the ShockProof silicone ring, which protects against damage from falls. And all of this comes with the hallmark of quality “made in Germany” with the Tempesta originating from Lahr, Germany, the birthplace of all GROHE showers and shower systems.
Every four seconds, a hand shower leaves the new production line, which can manufacture up to 200 different product variants without needing to be reconfigured. This equates to up to 19,000 hand showers per day, all of which undergo rigorous quality checks during the production process and are 100% traceable. Strategic investments in manufacturing facilities like Lahr highlight the GROHE brand’s integral role within LIXIL portfolio of brands.

GROHE will showcase selected pieces of its premium sub-brand GROHE SPA at the world’s biggest annual design event from 16th – 21st April. Crafting a sanctuary of well-being in the heart of Milan, the immersive experience based on “Aquatectures” fuses water and architecture to bring the GROHE SPA “Health through Water” concept to life. The installation at the prestigious Palazzo Reale is paying tribute to the history of the former royal palace’s courtyard garden.
With over 30,000 visitors, the Red Dot “Best of the Best” awarded GROHE SPA installation at the Pinacoteca di Brera left a lasting impression on Milan Design Week 2023. Building on this success, GROHE, a leading global brand for complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, is returning this year with a new immersive experience in one of Milan’s most prestigious locations: The Palazzo Reale. The former royal palace near the Duomo serves as a cultural nexus and is home to international art exhibitions – the ideal scenery for GROHE SPA’s celebration of the revitalising power of water.
“We are proud to be a part of Milan Design Week once again. This occasion offers us an ideal platform for meaningful engagement and exchange with architects and designers, fostering mutual inspiration. Our objective transcends a mere product presentation; rather, we aspire to cultivate a holistic experience that underlines the essence of GROHE SPA: the belief that water is the source of vital energy,” says Karl Lennon, Leader GROHE SPA, LIXIL EMENA.
From 16th-21st April, the courtyard of the Palazzo Reale itself will undergo a metamorphosis into an exhibition space. Conceived by the in-house LIXIL Global Design and Brand Identity team, the installation pays tribute to the history of the building by evoking its past and interweaving it with the contemporary GROHE SPA “Salus per aquam” concept.
“Inspired by the former courtyard garden and in line with the motto of the Fuorisalone ‘Materia Natura’, we are aiming to blend nature and architecture to create a sensory journey focusing on the element of water. Visitors will be taken through our innovative concept of ‘Aquatecture’ spaces, experiencing the essence of our brand and our carefully curated bathroom solutions. We intend to elevate the significance and importance of water in architecture and the health and well-being benefits this infusion can bring. Each ‘Aquatecture’ represents one of the four tiers that bring GROHE SPA to life. From tier one the most exclusive and customisable solution utilising 3D metal-printing to create bespoke designs, to luxury material collaborations and trend setting colours, materials and finishes,” explains Patrick Speck, Leader, LIXIL Global Design EMENA.
Architects, designers, and visitors can experience the installation and GROHE SPA firsthand at the Palazzo Reale, from 16-21, April 2024.
The installation will be open to the public on: 16/17 April from 10:30am-7:30pm CET 18 April from 10:30am-5:00pm CET 19/20 April from 10:30am-10pm CET 21 April from 10:30am-6:00pm CET

This year's edition of the Workspace Design Show (27 - 28 February 2024, Business Design Centre, London), presents an impressive array of features. These bring together some of the industry’s leading designers, architects and built environment partners and range from an immersive forest stage to an interactive lighting installation. Altogether, 2024’s features represent an incredible spectacle for attendees of the Show, which has become a must-visit event for office interiors professionals since its inception in 2021.
Curated by Gensler, the design concept for the Design Talks Lounge at the Workspace Design Show 2024 delves into the overarching theme, ‘Bloom – Exploring the Thriving Ecosystem of Work Life’. This engaging experience aims to shed light on and draw inspiration from nature, encouraging a positive perspective on the evolving worlds of work and life. Established and independent furniture consultants, Hunters, have partnered with sustainably-focussed firms to help bring this feature to life. Office plant suppliers Exubia plays a central role with eye-capturing biophilic design, seamlessly merging live planting with innovative moss elements. This is complemented by a 66-metre custom printed fabric backdrop provided by Kvadrat, featuring a forest design and crafted by the incredibly skilled seamstresses at Waverley. The flooring, supplied by Material Hangout and Mogu, known for its bio-based solutions, reinforces the Design Talks Lounge’s environmental ethos, with the furniture carefully selected from Andreu World, a firm renowned for its commitment to sustainability, with products made from biodegradable and compostable properties. To extend the life cycle and impact of the design of the feature, post-event will see the redistribution of the plants and furniture featured, while the fabric finds a second life in charity projects, ensuring a sustainable and waste-free approach.
Architectural, design and planning practice tp bennett is responsible for the design of the feature at the entrance to Workspace Design Show 2024. A series of elegant columns is arranged in a conceptual maze, serving as a symbolic representation of the intricate ecosystem of work life. Each column embodies the essence of ‘Bloom’ – another nod to the event’s theme. They stand tall and varied, representing the diversity of experiences and challenges often experienced in life and at the same time, the structures symbolize the growth, development and resilience of trees in a garden. As you navigate through the varied paths, you encounter different sculptural pieces created by Aectual, each one illustrating a delicate bloom, composed of recycled sustainable materials and textured 3D printed surfaces with accompanying organic biophilia provided by Vantage Spaces and Planteria, both experts in biophilic design & office planting. Vantage Spaces are using preserved foliage, which is harvested sustainably using natural dyes to preserve the stems and ensure they are VOC free, 100% natural & biodegradable. Overall, this conceptual maze invites contemplation on the organic nature of career progression, encouraging individuals to appreciate the beauty and resilience inherent in their professional journey. The feature is finished with a captivating modular, linear lighting system, subtly integrated by iGuzzini with contemporary textiles from Kvadrat and specialist plant lighting from Soltech.
Both the Occupiers Forum and the Sustainability Works sessions will be held in the Insights Lounge, designed exclusively by Lisa Pasi, graduate interior designer with international architects practice BDP. Also addressing the theme of, ‘Bloom’, Pasi’s concept will focus on the symbiotic relationship between man and nature. Hunters once again play a key role in terms of sourcing sustainable partners. Pasi’s vision promotes the purpose and validity of using natural materials within the workplace environment. To this end, wood and stone are not only aesthetically pleasing and foster a sense of warmth but also positively influence mood and well-being. Says Lisa Pasi, “Despite being constantly reminded of our connection to nature through our senses, this association tends to diminish when we find ourselves indoors, surrounded by artificial light and synthetic materials. Therefore, by adhering to biophilic design principles, the inclusion of natural materials will establish a connection to nature, bolstering concentration, creativity, and job satisfaction.” The sustainable credentials of flooring firms Mogu, Material Hangout and Ege carpets also underpin the concept. Overall, visitors to the Insights Lounge can enjoy a tactile experience and encounter the customisable options and unique qualities of natural materials, which are sure to enrich the overall comfort and engagement of individuals in the workplace.
Jason Bruges Studio presents two interactive lighting prototypes on the theme of ‘Living Workplace’. Each prototype is a 1:1 section of an existing, full-scale permanent artwork. The first prototype, called Energy Dynamics, originally developed for the Ukrainian energy company DTEK, uses technology for storytelling. The second prototype entitled The Experience Tunnel, was created for trading firm XTX Markets and introduces interaction to foster human connection and collaboration.
M Moser Associates has crafted a captivating oasis featuring the exquisite Pebble Rubble modular seating range from Italian furniture manufacturer Moroso that transports us to a serene forestscape. TECH EDEN, This Edition’s Inspiration Theme: Adapting Your Projects to Tomorrow's Challenges
Contemporary aesthetics have no choice but to adapt to the challenges of tomorrow, and new projects give a special place to nature. New technologies, essential to their implementation, are driving ever greater creativity and innovation. The Show's Trend Forum, orchestrated by Peclers Paris, analyses, and interprets these developments, reflecting this season's theme, TECH EDEN. Immerse in the hospitality of the future through three escape capsules, where iconic hospitality venues are hybridised to create new, more virtuous, and ever more desirable ones: wellness cafés, sports stations, spa rooms... Innovative, sensory experiences, like an invitation to travel and disconnect, only to find yourself again. The ultimate intimate escape, on the edge of reality. "A unique and fully experiential space, combining creativity, nature and technology to provide a warm welcome and comfort for customers," says Mélanie Leroy.
Hospitality Lab X Studio REV, a Multidimensional Experience
"We also wanted to give carte blanche to studio REV, the firm that won the Paris Shop & Design 2023 prize, to provide us with another creative version of hospitality," explains SAFI director Mélanie Leroy. A mix of light and materials, a friendly, gourmet reception area brimming with joy and good spirits: the Hospitality Lab in the heart of Hall 6 puts on an inspiring, innovative show. A multifunctional experience created by studio REV, halfway between the physical and the virtual, with a gigantic table combining wood and glass as its central element, conducive to socialising, whether at a table or just passing through, thanks to the on-sale and take-away offerings. Once again, Maison&Objet demonstrates its keen understanding of the expectations of hospitality market customers. More than a simple visit, it's a genuine immersion in the heart of a place marked by a strong visual, functional, symbolic, and even poetic identity. A place where the worlds of avant-garde hospitality and retail come together, with a host of exceptional products.
Outonomy, Mathieu Lehanneur's Outdoor Inspired Installation on a New Form of Autonomy
"An ecosystem for living, both minimal and optimal". This is how Mathieu Lehanneur imagined his Outonomy project for Maison&Objet. With this outdoor-inspired installation in line with the TECH EDEN season theme, the Designer of the Year had no other ambition than to bring nature into our contemporary society.
The design of this scenography points to the future and reveals the need for freedom. Doing better with less, dealing with our surroundings while respecting the environment, getting back to basics but not on basics... "Far from nostalgia or an attempt to retrace our steps, Outonomy attempts to answer the question: what do I really need?" says the designer.
