Cox Jones Interiors What steps do you take to stay at the forefront of the design industry? We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, perfecting every step of our process. Most of our furniture is custom made by our skilled artisans and designed in-house by our creative team, where we constantly push the boundaries of innovation. We believe in continuous evolution, learning and adapting with every completed project. To stay inspired and ahead of trends, we invest in our growth by attending international trade events regularly, incorporating fresh collections and trends into our designs. These experiences allow us to discover new collections, trends, and innovations, ensuring we remain ahead of the curve in design and craftsmanship. Interior design is often an evolving process, and we remain flexible and adaptable throughout. Our lead designers are dedicated to keeping clients informed, especially when they request changes to the design. Any modifications are promptly communicated to the entire team, ensuring that adjustments are made smoothly and efficiently, keeping the project on track and true to the client’s vision. Cox Jones Interiors What trends do you see shaping the future of interior design? We are committed to growing as an eco-conscious design studio, increasingly incorporating natural elements like real stone and natural wood into our projects. This approach not only enhances the beauty of spaces but also promotes sustainability by integrating nature into interiors. We prioritise natural light wherever possible in our projects and use organic materials that support overall well-being. We also focus on energy efficiency to help reduce energy consumption across our designs. As technology continues to advance, smart home automation such as lighting, security systems, and motorised window treatments has become more seamless and intuitive. As designers, we now integrate these technologies into our projects as a standard feature. We place greater emphasis on health and well-being in our designs, ensuring that the furniture we create is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ergonomic. This focus extends beyond individual pieces, influencing the layout of furniture and the overall design of spaces to strengthen comfort and support healthier living environments. Cox Jones Interiors How do you incorporate sustainability into your designs? Our company is dedicated to making choices that focus on the environment, and we actively seek out ways to incorporate sustainable practices into our work. This includes using natural fabrics and recycled materials, as well as opting for non-toxic paints that are not only better for the environment but also improve indoor air quality. We integrate smart home lighting systems with motion sensors to minimise energy consumption when rooms are unoccupied, and carefully select energy-efficient appliances to reduce overall power usage. In our outdoor projects such as swimming pool designs, we encourage our clients to opt for heat pumps which save up to 80% energy consumption. Our approach also extends to furniture selection, choosing pieces that are built to last, so that quality furniture can be repaired and restored rather than to replace. These are just a few examples of the thoughtful, eco-conscious choices we integrate into our designs, helping to create spaces that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and mindful of their impact on our planet. Cox Jones Interiors Do you have a signature style or hallmark design approach? We create designs that are uniquely tailored to our client’s lifestyles and personalities, ensuring each space reflects their individual needs and tastes. We take pleasure in blending classical elements with modern sensibilities, resulting in interiors that are both timeless and enduring. Our designs often feature classic furniture with a contemporary twist, striking a perfect balance between tradition and innovation, allowing the spaces we create to stand the test of time. Cox Jones Interiors What advice would you give to emerging designers? Becoming an interior designer is a fulfilling journey that combines creativity with practical expertise. We highly recommend pursuing a degree in interior design to learn the foundational design principles, along with knowledge of software like SketchUp and AutoCAD. Developing strong client communication skills, and understanding contracts and budgets, will also greatly benefit you in the long run. Gaining hands-on experience through work placements is invaluable, as it allows you to learn from real life projects. Above all, your unique design voice is what will set you apart. Don’t be afraid to experiment and push creative boundaries, but always stay true to your personal vision and style. Cox Jones Interiors What has been your company’s proudest achievement so far? We’ve been fortunate to have received recognition from leading industry awards/bodies, and our client list reflects a diverse range of celebrities, including Grammy award-winning artists, well-known business professionals, and professional footballers. One of our proudest achievements was designing England and Manchester City footballer Phil Foden’s first property in 2021. This year, in 2025, we were honoured to be commissioned once again to design his second property. While these milestones are incredibly rewarding, nothing compares to the satisfaction of receiving our client’s feedback after they’ve settled into their new homes. Their joy and appreciation are truly the greatest rewards for us.
