Jim together with his late friend Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, headed up an international fund raising campaign with the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund to help build the International Bomber Command Memorial at Green Park to honour those RAF personnel who gave their lives during WWII. The International Bomber Command Memorial was unveiled by her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 2012.
