The next Kitchen & Bathroom Forum meeting is upon us
Andy Davies, editor of kbbreview, reveals the details of the next Kitchen & Bathroom Forum.
“Some of you may have been following the angry blogs and tweets from a small but vocal group that greeted the announcement of the K&B Forum’s formation.
As a result you’ll know that to attend the next meeting you’ll need the secret passwords in order to secure transportation to the Forum’s orbiting space station and giant laser where we can discuss our plans for world domination.
Alternatively, you can come to FIRA’s offices in Stevenage at 2pm.
Thank you to Jonny and FIRA for being hosts – find all the details of how to get there here – http://www.fira.co.uk/find-us
I, unfortunately, have had to hand over the chair to someone else for this meeting. I know I’ve actually been trying to do that since the first one, but this time I have a good reason. I’m flying back from Canada and land at 8am that morning. I fully intend to come to the meeting but I’m anticipating being jet lagged to a point where I’d be an even more useless chairman than usual.
So, Richard Moss (representing SBID) has kindly agreed to chair the meeting, so thank you very much to him.
He will be putting the agenda together so if you have anything to add to it please contact him:
Richard Moss, communications, Mark Wilkinson Furniture
T: 020 3370 8097
One item of discussion will be the draft Memorandum of Understanding that Yvonne (BMA) has put together. Another item is Vanessa (SBID)’s document which sets out the aims and objectives of the Forum. This is also a draft and is meant to kick start a discussion on additions, amendments and deletions. To read these documents, request a copy on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Apart from these two items on the agenda, I know that iKBBI, FIRA, EQ wanted to give brief presentations but if there’s any additions please contact Richard.
And, finally I’d like to welcome a new attendee to the Forum, Garry Milligan of the Federation of Kitchen and Bathroom Designers. This is a relatively new organisation so it might be worth Garry giving a brief presentation on its aims – alternatively, here’s the FKBD website if you want to have a look http://www.fkbd.eu/index.htm
So, see you all on the 29th at FIRA!”
