Cánovas’ artworks are heavily worked and only realised through careful contemplation. Working either on board or aluminium the artist creates impressions from varied source imagery he manipulates digitally before printing onto the material. Cánovas then reworks the image by sanding it down and painting into it before finishing with a smooth, shiny resin surface. Finally further painted elements are added on top of the resin.

Ernesto Cánovas’ work is currently on display at Halcyon Gallery as part of The Art of Creating Exhibition.

A Curvy Kitchen in Muswell Hill

North London based kitchen designer, Tim Moss was approached by Nicole Peters who wanted a really functional kitchen. Tim Moss was briefed for a traditional kitchen, but brought forward in time. The client wanted all the mod cons, but didn’t like the sleek modern style of today’s kitchens. The old kitchen was a galley style, which had a lot of workspace, but because of wall-hung cupboards, much of it was unusable.

The new design is an understated timeless kitchen that works, even when Nicola and her children are cooking together – there’s space for everyone and she feels it’s standing the test of time. Discrete Gaggenau appliances add a contemporary look, a wine cooler provides space for husband Philip’s passion and Nicola got the coffee machine she was desperate for.

A glass extension floods the space with light and the curved edges mean moving around in the space is easy. Plenty of storage space including a large coat cupboard for all the children’s school things keeps it tidy. A breakfast bar means it’s a room where the whole family can spend time together. Tim created a traditionally made kitchen given a very contemporary look by the choice of appliances, handles and the colour. Tim suggested Light Blue by Farrow & Ball, a calm colour that looks green, grey or blue depending on the light, it provides a perfect background to the appliances and creates a restful space.

A large variety of models and a minimalist, timeless design allow individual style and installation options for every room, whatever the layout. There are no limits to creativity – and all this comes at an affordable price. To top it all, the non-porous, closed surface is particularly easy to clean and meets the highest hygiene requirements.

Named after the revered 1000 foot high Prosecco vineyards, Cartizze is a timeless, luxury Bellini and cocktail destination in the heart of Mayfair. Deserving patrons can become a custodian to their own personal liquor locker at this prestigious location, storing much loved spirits and champagnes to savour within the bar.

A Kitchen in Three Movements’ by Johnny Grey

Johnny Grey specializes in creating sociable multi-use kitchen spaces.  He calls the  kitchen he recently designed for a family in West London ‘A Kitchen in Three Movements’ with three zones joined with a central corridor. Each zone has identifiable functions – culinary and dining; storage and cooking; home office. Each has a preferred aesthetic choice; the culinary zone is made in artisanal, more hand-made style, predominately using cast concrete and timber.

The multi-functional island unit incorporates a hob, a chopping block which traverses the entire length of the concrete dais and raised height server bar in solid English Ash.  Says Grey “ I was inspired by the non-symmetrical rhomboid shape of the top and a desire to make it more like a sculpture than a cabinet. And to be more playful, we lifted the base to let the light from the windows spread across the floor.”

Johnny particularly likes collaborating with interior designers and architects and is currently working on several projects for furniture, home cinemas, and outdoor kitchens.

Aquaduct Commissioned Grilles

Our covers are designed and manufactured in Britain, and are made using only the highest quality materials available including stainless steel, aluminium, brass and bronze. These base metals can then be applied with an even larger range of finishes including copper, nickel, bronze, gold, powder coated (in any RAL colour) or in the case of aluminium, anodised in a choice of literally hundreds of colours.

Choose a set design or allow us to create one for you, the design possibilities available are truly endless.

Venticello by Villeroy & Boch

Villeroy & Boch’s new Venticello collection of ceramic ware and furniture plays with functionality and straight lines, two qualities that define how universal Villeroy & Boch strive to be. Venticello offers a high degree of user practicality, with improved sink depth, storage and shelf space, but the refined design means the appearance of the collection is modern and lightweight. This makes Venticello suitable for spacious and small bathrooms alike.

The stylish yet simple single and double cabinet sinks have generous shelf space and clean surfaces for the ceramic basins to sit on. Pull-out compartments provide essential space to tidy away toiletries and accessories, while additional lighting will illuminate storage areas automatically. Along with the classic chrome finish, Venticello handles are also available in Blue, Grey or White Matt and can be mixed with a variation of furniture finishes, including woods and glossy coloured units.

Valuable Storage Solutions by ViSpring

To overcome storage problems, luxury bed maker, Vispring, offers valuable drawer space within its meticulously upholstered high sprung divans, without compromising on style, comfort or support. Three drawer options are available – continental, standard side and foot-end*. Just as each of its mattresses are made by hand in its Devon factory, Vispring’s divans are hand crafted, meaning storage solutions are bespoke to customers – whatever their needs.

The Herald Superb (pictured) is one of Vispring’s most popular mattresses. It is generously hand-filled with an expertly blended combination of Platinum Certified pure Devonshire fleece wool, the finest South American horsetail, and luxuriously soft cotton from Turkey. These fibres are sourced for their outstanding quality, ensuring each Herald Superb is sumptuously soft and comfortable; their natural properties also provide optimum ventilation to guarantee an untroubled night’s rest.

The Herald Superb partners the Prestige divan base (also pictured). The mattress and pocket sprung divan work harmoniously together to create a responsive unit, reacting to movements throughout the night for a peaceful sleep; providing 40 per cent more comfort than sleeping on the mattress alone. This means that every day that follows a night in a Vispring starts with a good morning.

Beauty of Bespoke

Woodstock Furniture was approached to design a new, open-plan kitchen which led to the creation of this contemporary, family kitchen-living space with bespoke, flat-fronted cabinetry, an elegant, simple cornice and curved island details. The distinctive cabinets were spray-painted in French grey with veneered, book-matched American black walnut, topped with Compac Snow Quartz for the work surface.

The cabinet design along the wall features wide drawers with simple finger grooves and handleless wall cupboards in a practical symmetrical design, which is balanced at both ends with tall cabinets. A large larder cupboard ensures plenty of space for food storage and there’s a handy desk area.

The feature island is the focal point of the design and it connects the different zones with plenty of space for prep, the sink and bar stools. The rounded end catches the eye with a structural column, which creates a softer touch to the otherwise linear design.

Cheap doesn’t necessarily mean poor. Chic is not necessarily expensive. This a high design collection of fabrics, especially suited for Hospitality, at a small price. Conceived and weaved in Italy, using only flame retardant yarns from Trevira, the collection is an insight on the design iconography of four different continents. Hence the name: Globetrotter. Four designs for a total of nineteen fabrics, featuring a palette of natural colors with a hint of more audacious shades, like acid green, Ferrari red and luscious purple.

SoFar SoNear voyage pays homage to Italy with ‘Rinascimento’, modern damask. The following stop-over is Japan, where the antique families used a ‘Kamon’, an emblem to identify themselves. Finally, they move to Oceania and find inspiratiolon in the tattoos of the Natives, like the ‘Moko’. Their last stage is America, where they pay a tribute to the ‘Navajos’.

Tony Miles Designs’ lights featuring in the Big Brother house

Tony Miles Designs is a bespoke lighting and furniture designer.
His bespoke designs are industrial, contemporary and simplistic. The pieces blend the strength of industrial products with basic functionality to create a bold object of interest.  The designs are handmade with steel tubing, which is formed into various shapes and sizes.  Any design can be created for homes, hotels, restaurants, shops, offices and bars.

Steel tube, boxes and brass fixtures are used, which really give the designs a modern, vintage, retro look.  The lights are also fitted with a dimmer, which works well with the specialist handmade filament light bulb like the Edison and this in turn brings the designs to life.

Tony Miles Designs is currently featuring in the Big Brother house with eighteen lights. Tony has also been asked to feature at The London Design Festival in September 2013.

Contemporary butterflies shaped lighting

Illuminated butterflies will bring the summer atmosphere into your modern interior. The composition of glass wings lining their central, imitates their flickering in flight. Faceted edges and engraved patterns resemble the decorativeness bestowed to real butterflies by nature.

After dark, LED strips relume the butterfly wings with light coming from the center of their body.

Thomas Dudley’s cutting edge Electroflo Infra red WC flushing controls

Dudley Electroflo WC infra red flushing controls lead the way in cutting edge technology. The Dudley Electroflo WC is the first in the market to have dual flush control from a single sensor, and can be used in both commercial and domestic markets. The company’s research and design department have configured an infra red sensor that overcomes condensation and lighting problems in the domestic bathroom. All the electronic controls are fitted into a small box with the sensor behind the WC panel. This makes for rapid installation and is the only low pressure infra system in the market.

Both the Vantage and Miniflo cisterns will flush at low volume 5/3 litres. The Vantage cistern has a Delay Fill valve fitted which will save another 0.3-0.4 litres of water every flush. These water saving options help to gain valuable BREEAM/CSH points.
