Sussex Loft Conversion, by Cimitree
Cimitree was approached by the client to act as interior designers and cabinet makers on a loft conversion at their home. The brief was to create display cabinetry for the clients oriental art collection along with window seats , book cases , a kitchenette and bathroom vanity unit.
The display cabinetry was designed and built around the 2 large chimney breasts which ran through the loft with display niches with lighting , cupboards and drawers to one side and hanging space to the 3 other sides . The size of the cabinetry and the access to the loft made this a complex design project . The cabinetry was made in Wenge and red lacquer and detailed with antique bronze grilles , handles and hinges.
Unique Coffee Table, by Stephen Graver
With the onset of autumn rapidly approaching, we are all starting to think about hunkering down for those long nights watching Strictly Come Dancing and X-Factor, right through to Christmas. With that in mind, we have come up with a practical solution to make this a more enjoyable time of the year.
This unique coffee table was designed for our client and the brief was to be able to house a very special Vivienne Westwood book, so the size of the table was dictated by the size of the book. Made using American Black Walnut, with a toughened glass top and a secret drawer to access this sizeable book. The perimeter of the table has been beautifully finished with padded suede; ideal for putting your feet up, or as additional perch seating.
