Supporting Interior Design Students

Get me 2 the Top is a competition held for students and recent graduates who studied or recently graduated from an interior design course or equivalent at degree level. Developed to find innovative, talented students, the competition aims to nurture relationships between the country’s finest new recruits and potential employers, locally and nationally, bridging their gap between learning and earning. Working closely with industry partners, the internship scheme will allow students to develop key relationships, giving them the tools and advice they need to kick-start their careers.

Winners of this annual design competition benefit from a 3 month internship with a leading design agency, architectural firm or manufacturer. Currently, the competition runs in both the UK and Ukraine.

Watching the stars of the future rise is an ongoing initiative that we have created for the next generation of industry experts.

The knowledge and insights that students learn is immeasurable to their career and employment opportunities. SBID have seen the benefits of previous programmes, as students have obtained employment and developed their skills in the industry and continue to succeed above their peers. The competition is featured on social media, the website, and in the SBID quarterly magazine eSociety.

The winners are announced and presented with a framed certificate at an annual networking ceremony, amongst 150 SBID international guests celebrating interior design, at the House of Lords.
