SBID has launched an exchange programme to create educational opportunities and professional exposure for interior design students from either side of the Atlantic.
Fourteen Interior Design Students from Bowling Green State University will be travelling in Europe in May 2013, visiting design exhibitions and trade shows, interior design projects, world-renowned art galleries and museums. they will enjoy the timeless works of European master designers, and…get a taste of British, French, Spanish and Turkish cultures.

SBID and Bowling Green State University are seeking placements for interior design students in London from Monday May 12 – Friday May 17, 2103. The group will stay in London until May 20, 2013 during which they would like to visit design projects, projects under construction, and interact with SBID members to learn about their design works, knowledge and skills in the form of formal and informal talk-sessions on design and the profession.

Introduction to Social Media for interior design businesses is a brand new series of workshops launching this March in London. The workshops are dedicated to educating interior design businesses on the professional, business use of social media platforms.

Highly practical with a down to earth approach, the half-day workshop is ideal for businesses who have launched their social media presence and are looking for expert advice on how to run social media activity to the best business advantage, from the PR, marketing and sales perspective.

The first workshop is taking place on 12 March in London and is limited to 11 participants.

After two and a half years of planning, research and assessment, the SBID accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme is now live for members and qualifying companies who wish to attend or host an event.

We help your organisations to provide certified CPDs and put you in front of professionals who are required to maintain and update their industry knowledge and skills after qualification. CPDs can cover legal changes, product upgrades, compliance issues, research and development and technologies relating to the profession of interior design.

Host or attend an event. We help you and your business to provide and obtain certified CPDs and introduce you to professionals. Accredited Designers and Architects are required to maintain and update their industry knowledge and skills throughout their working lives after qualification. CPDs can cover legal changes, product upgrades, compliance issues, research and development and technologies relating to the profession of interior design.
