Clayworks Clay Plaster, as used in Nando’s across the country
Clayworks Clay Plaster is a high performance wall finish that was launched in 2011 and has taken the design world by storm for its breathtaking beauty and its extraordinary eco and healthy building credentials.
Clayworks’ naturally beautiful, pigmented clay plasters come in a range of premixed, nature-inspired colours. They provide a magnificent and sustainable alternative to conventional plasters and paints, replacing both gypsum plaster boards and paints.
Clay plasters, made from unfired clays and sands, are breathable (with excellent vapour permeability) and hygroscopic, making them ideal for residential and commercial use. Unfired clay can absorb and desorb indoor humidity faster than any other building material and will regulate relative interior humidity between 40% and 70%, the level at which research has shown the likelihood for airborne infectious bacteria and virus to survive is the lowest. It also prevents building materials from off gassing toxins, such as formaldehyde and helps prevent the occurrence of mould. There is also evidence of how clay plaster can treat pollutants and neutralise odours in rooms.

The Wine Collector’s Larder – the Spiral Cellar

A Spiral Cellar is undoubtedly the most simple and effective built-in wine storage solution available, offering the ideal conditions, the greatest capacity and no running costs – all constructed in just 8 days. But the environment of a Spiral Cellar is also perfect for storing most food stuffs that would sit comfortably in a traditional larder, without eating into the floor space of a kitchen like a pantry cupboard would.
The temperature within a Spiral Cellar is set by the ground temperature and ranges between 8 – 18°C annually; it is also a well-ventilated space and so ideal for storing items such as root vegetables, dairy items like butter and cheese, tinned goods and cans.
The bins within the cellar – the compartments where wine bottles are stacked – are ideal for loading up with food that is either an overspill from the kitchen or will benefit from storing for some time, like homemade jams and chutneys. With at least 42 bins in each cellar, there is ample space to store food alongside the wine collection, which will please both the wine lover and the cook in the family!

Craggy good looks – Camira’s chunky wool is back

Camira’s designer upholstery fabric, Craggan, is a chunky wool that brings a contemporary twist to a 25 year old traditional product that has come full circle and back into style. Originally launched in the 1980s, when heavier weight wools were all the rage, the look is now simultaneously textural yet surprisingly delicate. A subtle accent shade peeps through the rugged weave construction, as welcoming in appearance as the first signs of spring after a tough, long winter.
The inspiration for Craggan comes from the weathered landscapes and the exposed moorland of the beautiful Northern England countryside. The fabric surface has been deliberately kept neutral in tone to allow the colour to work as a highlight background shade, in the same way that moss peeks between cracks in stone walls, and grass or flowers push up bravely between cobble stones. Nature always finds a way to thrive – even in the most unlikely environments – due to inherently good design.
1×1 Mosaic Tile Range from Trend GB

Italian designer mosaics company, Trend, has added a fresh dimension to its authentic, handcrafted glass tiles range, with a new piccolo formato 1cm x 1cm collection. Often known as micro mosaic tiles, these tiny glass squares have all the decorative and long-lasting properties of the larger 2cm format, yet are perfect for even more intricate décor panels, borders, floors, walls and ceilings, minimising the pixelated effect on complex mosaic designs, when used with colour-matched grout lines.
Decoflame Minimalist Fireplaces

As an entirely new product category, the decoflame®brand presents the Ellipse Ceiling fireplace. As the product description suggests, Ellipse Ceiling is fitted suspended from the ceiling and allows a view of the flames from any point in the room thanks to 360º rotation.
The free-standing variation of this model series is called Ellipse Floor. Here the ceiling suspension has been replaced by four conically shaped stainless steel legs.
With its curved form, the Ellipse fireplace is minimalist and elegant at the same time. The series is available in a standard black finish and in white/black or brushed stainless steel/black on request and features hardened glass shields on both sides and the patented decoflame®burner on which the flame intensity is steplessly adjustable.
